Religion is certainly one of the boundaries holding people apart other than language. I do agree with you that theres no point arguing about your beliefs here. AJ has not said anything about his faith till now and he does not spew his beliefs on us, we must respect everyones beliefs.

“the number of a man” doesn’t become so b/c a person receives the mark, as alex says. it’s talking about a specific man. here is the full verse

rev 13:18 Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast; fr it is the number of a man: and his number is Six hundred three score and six.”

notice “his”. it’s talking about a specific man, not just anyone who receives the mark.

the whore in rev 17 is a city, that reigns over the kings of the earth, as it explains its own metaphor in verse 18. the only city that can be described like that is the vatican. also, in vs 9 it is said that she sits on 7 mountains. rome = city of 7 hills (hill is only differentiated in english, it’s the same as mountain). just for starters.

this woman will ride the beast with 7 heads and 10 horns ( same as the 4th kingdom in daniel ). if u read daniel, beasts are world empires.

Yes of course the first one the Christians will no doubt call the anti-christ. Then they will give you an new one you can call to solve all the problems of the first. Create a problem, and then give people the solution to solve it. The oldest trick they have. But, we can both agree many people Atheist or Christian will be decieved.

Acutally you can dispute that. Just like you can dispute the other stories. In the other stories, (the parts that are similar to the Christ story) their sources for those parts don’t actually pre-date Christ. Those additions came shortly after. So the copying was the other way around. Dispite what ppl would have you believe the Bible itself is an historical document. There is more ancient manuscipt evidence for the New Test. than for any other 10 pieces of classical literature combined.
