@104406. It is misinterpreted. Read first and second samuel to find out what David was really like. He was far from a monster. And anyone who says he was is a fool.

This can’t be the whole story. I can’t help but feel this story is a little bit interpreted in a way that makes the guy seem like a monster. He’s a shepherd that became king. Details from back then can’t be complete. I don’t know. It just seems a little bit too much.

This is so illegitimate, this is like watching a Michael Moore film. So inaccurate and full of misinformation. The? History channel has lost its credibility? on so many accounts.

David became king at 30 years of age, he reigned for 40 years, 7 years out of hebron and 33 years out of jerusalem. These morons simply added 40, 7, and 33 to get 110. lol

Many scholars hold that the gritty, ugly side of David which is revealed in the old testament, is actually more likely to be historically accurate. In the Quran, David is essentially, a man devoid of flaws, the kind of narrative that you would expect to find in a biased, hero worshipping, slanted view of what actually happened.

It’s really no wonder why a lot of people hate Jews. Look at this David guy…what an asshole.

@pogimax – You really can’t trust the bible about history …you mean to say. It’s all propaganda and mostly historically inaccurate. It has holes in it’s narrative story from cover to cover. The bible is not literal history, was not written or guided by god, and is a total failure in explaining the only world we live..the natural physical world. Pogimax…you are going to tell me you or any other christian doesn’t pick and choose from the bible. Are you for real?

This documentary is a hideous distortion of Prophet David. He was not a murderer nor a fornicator, but a prophet of Allah and a righteous king of his people

1 Kings 2:32 said he Joab was killed for murdering two men (Abner and Amasa, commander of the army of Judah) without David’s knowledge and also because he supported Adonijah (who wanted the throne I believe)

according to the bible, its david that order solomon to kill yohav,as a revenge for killing avner ben ner.

Actually, David died at 70 years of age, according to the Biblical account. You really can’t trust the History Channel about history, curiously enough. It’s one thing to pick and choose from the Biblical account, but when one does it without justification and offers alternative explanations without justifying them, it’s a academic boo-boo, so to speak.

Once when I was a kid I threw a rock and cracked some guy right between the eyes with it.

The stories you read about david in the bible are about me.
