Hitchens admirable eloquence aside, how can ANYONE watch this and still contest its validity?
Religion at this age in time (with many of the big questions answered by science) is the ultimate deciding argument for anyone who claim that modern man is lost to ignorance and stupidity,
Yes
@tudomerda
I ment Space “Odyssey”, not “Oditty”. heh maybe it fits.
@SirPwn4lot
Space oddity is over rated. The intro with the apes is laborious. It’s very slow, and the sound “fill” for space scenes highly irritating, he should rather have had no sound during the space scenes instead of that white noise, guess muting the sound achieves the same result.
Space Odyssey was slow and pointless. A Clockwork Orange and The Shining could not compare to the books from whence they came. And Eyes Wide Shut….Really?
@SirPwn4lot Yes, 2001: A Space ODYSSEY is a fantastic movie, as is A Clockwork Orange and Eyes Wide Shut and The Shining… and they go on and on lol
No, my I just asked the creator of the universe and he said it’s spelled Sidney.
Stanley Kubrick is a fantastic director, he directed 2001: A Space Oddity.
He means Stanley Kramer when he says Kubrick… doesn’t he?
“Christopher Hitchens and Tony Jones in Sidney”
Sidney?… SIDNEY?..
It’s spelt Sydney you jackass.
@jsullivan80 Agreed. I have no problem with religion being taugh in fact I think it is a very important part of cultural hystory along with all other ancient mythology.
What about, “Any truly rational person would see theism as the crock of shit that it so evidently is”?
lol…
honesty always works vs religion
good videos on this topic at my channel
theism is not rational.
Does anyone have the video with the Hitch providing the commentary?
lol hitchens has become a prophet! is he going to combust like antimatter? he is one of the smartest people alive.
The bible may still be here after he is gone. Hopefully, in the fiction section at your local bookstore
After his death, who next? The Bible will still be there.
@crabbit101
they just did! hehehe
Beat me to it.
And of course, your beliefs can. Of course, what you believe is better than what others do.
Of course
The words ‘theism’ and ‘rational’ cannot appear in the same sentence together
Hitchens looks good here…
LOL good post bcmallow
I have a rational theism argument
