I congratulate you on being amoungst the admirers of this erudite gentleman.
I was taught about Islam by a professor who was a sufi and an apologist for Islam in general. Even through all the apologist, politically correct twists thrown in to the history of Islam, by the end of the course I had no question that it is a militant, barbaric, repulsive teaching and philosphy, regardless of the sprinklings of wisdom here and there, but you can find that in almost any human creation. It’s not peaceful, never has been.
