Beyond human comprehension, therefore god must exist and he must belong to 1 of the 3 Abrahamic religions. That’s a lol
@spartan1point1 I have no clue to what comment you are responding to. But to answer your question anyways, how about….Hate. Can you measure hate? No because it is completely subjective. Does it exist? Well, you can see evidence of it all over the place, so I would have to say yes.
@Uhlbelk Tell me, whats the difference between something that does not exist and something that cannot be measured?
Can you give me an example of something which we know to exist but which cannot be measured?

if you watched all parts, and the hall was full of 100% religious people and at the end you must take the side of reason and argument! not “faith” but realy to measure the weight of argument and reason then sam harris turned them all this day to atheists!
The Rabbi is always just on the verge of shouting.
Sam’s final point was brilliant.
@Uhlbelk @Uhlbelk There is a clear differense in believing in the possibility of god than believing in a religion. I am an atheist but i dont choose to not believe in god. I just dont believe in any religion.
@ThePhantomBlacksmith Welcome to the wonderful world of obfuscation aka theology.
Guy in white 4:50. Drunk as fuck!
I agree with many of the comments here…I wish that debates like this could remain civil every time they are held. Both of these men deserve a lot of credit for being calm and collected. That said, I side with Harris.
Hey thanks for the videos. I watched all of them. Harris won this debate easily but then again…. Wolpe lost before it even started.
sam harris is awesome
@midwest9595 I’ve watched Reza Aslan. He definitely qualifies as a ‘heavyweight’. Geez, the man’s got an IQ like a phone number.
@ThePhantomBlacksmith Hey, I completely agree with you, but I wanted to bring up one person I respect tremendously. Reza Aslan did a debate with Sam Harris and it is on youtube. It may be hard to recognize what reza is saying about examples like the muslim brotherhood unless you have a back ground in this (I have taken 3 college courses) but this debate was the only one that I actually felt progress for the future could be made. you’re right, every other debate I’ve seen, no hope for religion
If they could start this debate all over again but replace god with zeus, nothing that was said would change.
Wolpe has nothing to say, it is so obvious that bronze age male inperfectly evolved mammals created god it there own image
@ThePhantomBlacksmith brilliant comment, john lennox is the worst at babbling nonsense while seeming to sound like he’s making valid logical points
There are an infinite number of things that “could” exist. However, I am not going to live my life according to the possibility that flying unicorns “could” exist. It is the same with god, but just because there is a punishment for not believing i.e- hell, people are scared into believing, but can’t see that hell is just a tool invented to do just that.
Wow, these guys drink A LOT of water! I bet they gotta peeeeeeee!
@ThePhantomBlacksmith I completely agree. The person I would like to see debating FOR god would be Lee Strobel. He is law educated journalist who once was an atheist turned into a theist. His views would be very interesting.
I would like to see Mr. Strobel debate Mr. Harris. Out of all the debaters against god, Mr. Harris is by far my favorite. He is very collective in all his answers.
I would trust the science community over the religious community a million to one.
@kakahass That’s what Harris has been saying all along: That there are certainly “spiritual” or mental states that can be achieved by anyone willing to take the time, without giving untestable explanations for them. As for saying there is no god, atheists/rationalists only state that there is no evidence for such a being. There is no more evidence for deism than there is for theism.
Excellent debate. I may not agree with Rev. Wolpe in the slightest, but the level of professionalism, intelligence, good humor, and passion exhibited by all participants in the discussion is fascinating to witness.
He learned he could acheive celebrity through anti-theist activism.
Harris thinks that if he live 4 thousand years ago he would see things as a modern man does.
Actually atheists (some) DO have holidays. Nature worship is returning in some circles.
