MashaAllah. This guy is really intelligent and I think he has so much to offer the muslim community. I wish they would let him deliver more lectures.
What happened Biblically or otherwise to make folks think it’s alright to eat PORK after being told NOT to eat it? It’s a test for mankind. Who is going to obey GOD and NOT EAT PORK? Who is going to DISOBEY? If it tasted bad we’d have no trouble leaving it alone .And yet, people eat every limb of a pig’s body. Snout to tail. Jesus (peace be upon him) didn’t eat PORK. And never gave permission to eat PORK. So why do some Christians eat it?
Ultimate guidance comes from Allah. Calling Allah a “schemer”, doesn’t deprecated His Power to guide whom He chooses to guide. Commentors, don’t argue with people who desire to bring negativity to this brother’s conversion/reversion. We know Allah doesn’t have to scheme.This is an action akin to man. Islam will stand on its own merits. May Allah continue to guide and keep us on the straight path. Ameen!
@amanwithdreams The english language cannot be compared to the arabic language, the english language is too weak to translate the way the arabic language describes something, arabic literature is something special. @Welle92 A “schemer” in the “english” language is always seen in a negative context, like a scammer. It is not a positve word, it’s like saying God is a crook, thief etc.

And you’re right, the hygiene does not matter to God, but it matters to us. It’s beneficial for us. Also two thirds of your deed is actually your intention. So a clean heart would be mandatory anyway. God’s mercy outweighs His wrath, so lets just hope our intentions are for Him alone.
@Lonedreamer Yes having good hygiene is essential in everyday living, but makes absolutely no difference to GOD. It is what’s in your heart and mind first. Murderers, rapists, pedophiles can also be well groomed, does that make them right with God?

@amanwithdreams Cleanliness from the heart first– only then you feel self conscious and are aware that God is watching you during prayer. Wouldn’t you want to be clean and well-groomed before God like you worry about how other people watch you? That is true God-consciousness and cleanliness from the heart.

If cleanliness is half of your faith, that says a lot about Islam. As Jesus taught cleanliness comes from within the heart. Unfortuanately your traditions are like the pharosies.
@amanwithdreams Muslims pray five times a day, obligatory. They perform ablution, which is a special wash before prayer, so the beard is sure to be clean. Plus, cleanliness is half your faith in Islam. =)

@ghazaliabu……the prophet only had kind and good words up until the moment that the other religions he was preaching to refused to hear him and convert….the Quran then starts to say kill the infidels…..much like muslims in our societies today…those we welcome with open arms as Christian societies usually do (poor Lebanon) act peacefully up until the moment they do not get their way….we said no to Sharia in Ontario…there will come a time when we will say no again…truth will be seen
