love this song so much! grace like rain…
I too believe, that no amount of good works will get you into heaven. Only by the grace of god and by his mercy will we get into heaven. But, those who believe that works can get you into heaven… well… see how that works out for you. I’m not going to tell you whats right or wrong, because it would be just my opinion. And you don’t have to listen to me, but no one is perfect. My opinion, is that you can’t get into heaven without the grace and love of Jesus Christ and him living in your heart.
i love this song
Exactly
Okay people, I am not trying to speak in religious terms and cause a great debate. If anyone thinks that just doing good and what is right is enough to get to heaven, then you are VERY wrong. I am not scared to step on someones toes or make people mad. But I spoke the truth. If we are doing good and what is right for the Glory of God then you have the right motive. But if you are doing things and saying look at me, look at what I just did, I would tell you to stop and seach your heart and pray.
Very True. I am simply challanging people to read the Bible and apply it to life. And that is awesome when you do. You see the power of God in your life. If your faith isn’t stirring you up to good works read 1 John and compare your life to it. 1 John is the “know, that you know that you know” book. aheartforworship, I agree with you. And add that the word as more power then to just change us. But to also save the lost and dying. We just have to learn it, live it, and teach it to everyone.
“there is power in the word of God”
That is true, but the “power” changes us to better honour God in our lives (never perfectly due to our sin, however, perfectly forgiven by His blood).
The faith is supposed to stir us to good works, if it isn’t doing that. You’ve got an issue there.
ALLELUIA!
Love this music thanks : D
Great video, great song, great singer, what an Awesome and Gracious God we have. John 3:36
@Netmasterz How are we supposed to live? How are we saved? By faith as it is written the just shall live by faith. If you have a genuine saving faith you will do works out of love and obedience. That I should have been more clear on. And I apologize for that. The last bit of my earlier comment was a call to all christains to be faithful in word and deed. To not just read the Bible but to put it in our lives and upon our hearts. That we might not sin against God. Simple yet so hard to do.
“…by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—”
Eph. 2;8
“…his faith and his actions were working together, and his faith was made complete by what he did.”
Jas 2;22
Saved through faith, loving actions say to ppl that u walk the walk, and not just talk the talk. Concentrate on works, u’ll start thinking self-righteousness; on faith, and ull start thinking, “forgiven so i’ll just continue to live in sin now”. Balance is key =].
@chronos166 Choose your words carefully as you speak in religious terms. You just said that a society or people that does good and what is right will not have God’s hand of protection on them. It’s important to know that both faith and hard, loving work are necessary. I don’t believe one goes to heaven on faith alone.
@Pats4Life369 I’m not one to comment on religious beliefs or whatnot usually, but I feel I may be able to add something useful here. I know it is difficult to see death as a good thing, but as a stepping stone, it is fundamentally good. Without it, we never get anywhere near heaven. Also, protection and safety may not mean physical. At least they do not to me. I believe them to mean the heart’s protection. She may have been blessed in many unseen ways to get to the point of passing on.
“Societies and people that do good and what is right” won’t have God’s hand of protection on them. 1) Because like Isaiah says “all of our righteous are like filthy rags(Isaiah 64:6) and 2) saved the best for last, With out Jesus Christ it is impossible to please God. My friends, to be successful we must be faithful. We must put the word of God in our hearts. It needs to be part of us not just a little dip and dabble here and there. Because there is power in the word of God!
@aeroflying My man… I agree with you. But, I do not believe that “societies and people who do good and what is right will have God’s hand of protection and safety on them.” Let me tell you why. I had a grandma who loved the lord, devoted her life to the lord, and did everything for Jesus. It was amazing. But one day, she died. Unexpectedly. From a heart attack. So, while I do agree that one man can change a city, I do not agree with your other statment
