If eye witness testimony were really that reliable we wouldn’t need the Innocense Project would we?
Wilson’s logic: I wasn’t present when George Washington CROSSED OVER A RIVER, but I believe the historical account nonetheless. In the same way, I accept that Jesus rose from the dead. If the historical claim was that George Washington levitated off the ground and floated, with his army, across the river, then that would be a valid point to make. As it stands, it’s a complete non sequitur.
“Atheist Girl vs Christian Girl” – New video on my channel.
Indeed!
There is no point in asking ‘why?’ to a person who bases everything on mere belief. Utter waste of time.
it makes sense in the end how Hitchens stayed very calm and collect because he let this opponent wilson destroy himself in the long road this is where I find it quite amusing how his strong points were all wrong before they started haha
So, Joseph “followed Hume’s advice” and believed that Mary was pregnant while a virgin?
I think Hume would’ve said, “Hey Joe, you’re wife’s a whore.”
Their is more evidence and eye-witness accounts living today about U.F.O. abductions than for Jesus or God. Does that mean that U.F.O.’s and aliens HAVE in FACT visited and abducted people?
Oh! That’s why it’s true. Cuz Wilson believes it – it’s true.
Gosh! Lucky me – I have now heard the prophet Wilson. How fortuitous to have tuned in.
Now I’ve got a purpose in my life cuz I met a guy in Arizona last year who said Elvis is alive. Since he believed it, it is true. His story holds as much water as Wilson’s – he SAW him – he’s an eye witness!
I wonder when Michael will resurface. It’s probably already happened – isn’t three days standard turn around time for zombies?
Wow, I’m impressed that Hitchens stayed so impressively polite even when listening to such astonishing statements. I guess he figured he would allow his opponent to incriminate himself. This is an excellent debate though, mostly because it’s civil and neither person overtly demonizes the other.
3:30: it is a funny look in Hitchens’ eye once he hear the word “brain” coming out from wilson’s mouth. It is like “I’m not sure you have any” or “I’m surprised you have the balls to mention it…” lol
