You gotta check it out. Huge Laurie plays the main doctor. And he is a true Atheist! Its one of the highest rated shows on TV. Tuesdays on FOX at 8 if I remember. I TIVO all of them! The show goes where no other show on “TV” will go!!
She refuses all friend requests from people she doesn’t personally know. I’ve never seen House. I’ll have to check it out.
She keeps refusing my you tube requests (hint). But she plays the part so well! and when she says “penn works for me” about penn and teller. Penn mentions it on his weekly rant video from his back yard!!

I’m actually working on a book right now — Mr. Deity’s Diary. As for the side note, yes, we have our arguments. But I have to give her a great deal of credit. She has never refused doing anything on the show, and is probably the only Christian on the planet actively, monthly promoting non-theism and reason (against her own personal interests sometime). She’s a really cool chick!

I think for the brave men who risked and in many cases lost their lives that day, did so because they believed in the common good will of man not because they believed in a supreme being. If they actually believed in god, and I mean actually, they would have stayed home with everyone else and prayed. . . or does he not answer prayers? I can’t remember….

I tested this person’s hypothesis and found it to be true. Leave it to us empirically minded bastards to point out all the mistakes.
Also, the best the believer can do is make a reasonable argument for an impersonal creative force. That is truly a 50/50 proposition until we better understand the universe and how we came about. But the notion of a personal being who is all-powerful, and all-knowing, all-loving, who cares one wit for anything in this universe is so overwhelmingly contradicted by common experience as to be absurd. There’s absolutely no reasonable argument for the God of Abraham.
I don’t have beliefs the way believers have beliefs. I have a set of principles which have been acquired empirically and tested. But they are provisional, and I’m prepared to dump them at any moment should something more reasonable and/or compelling comes along. That’s not faith! Faith is acquired not empirically, nor is it tested. Faith is not provisional. It must be clung to even more when something more reasonable or compelling comes along. That’s why Christians killed scientists.
Like I wrote before, this is not a discussion forum so that I could present you with solid arguments or facts.The truth is that there are as much arguments to believe in God(leave aside an specific religion for a sec) as well as there are not to believe in him. You say that reason will always triumph over faith, but even you have faith in your own beliefs.
