Seen this dude on Rodney Dangerfields HBO Young Comedians while I was in the middle east in 1988. Fucking hilarious! Not many comedians who come close to Sam.
@SaarduLady I wish he were alive now for that reason exactly… We need someone to have the balls he did to be able to publicly blast the people that need it =) Kinison was fucking amazing.
Extremely well put SaarduLady! This is something that wouldn’t exist today because the liberal left would consider him too cruel and the conservative right would consider him too vulgar. Men like this don’t exist anymore because we have an entire generation of people that grew up PC. Nobody says what they mean anymore, they just say what you want to hear. That’s why comedians(music, media) suck nowadays.
@dbdcobra Its incredible that he just jumps right back into character during that.
hes amazing any one who thinks he isnt should shut up he was a comedic genius and millions of people liked him
you go guuuuurrrll!
Few people have the guts like he did. He didn’t care about being politically correct or liked, he cared about being fully alive, full self expression, and he believed in a God who made him the way he was for reasons he didn’t need to explain to himself or anyone else.
Sam WAS a preacher at one time. He was one of Oral Roberts minions. I’m just glad he woke up before he died or we would never have known how funny he was.
To the cunt on the first video, since YouTube fails and would let me post. If you are going to talk shit about Kinison, one of the best by far, go listen to more Dane Cook, listen to the mainstream BS that is actually terrible w/o humor. RIP Kinison, we all miss you.
“someone get a ladder and a pair of pliers!”
through Dennis Leary and ANdrew Dice Clay in there too.
He WAS a preacher
9:51 – Not that it ruined your weekend any… But I was DEAD!!!!
not to sound mean or anything but ame i the only one who thinks he looks like a drug dealer in that jacket or the kind of guy that tries to sell you random shit like fake rolexes
this shit is great. sam cracked me up imitating the preacher
my first impression of kinison was that he used the shock of yelling to get laughs. then i actually listened to what he was saying…. literally lol’d in the library.
4:27 Sam’s mom.
If you like Sam, see Bill Hicks. both dead, both great comics.
well said hendrix
Saw this guy on TV in the 80′s & didn’t find him funny. 20+ years later i get it now, humour does become more broad with age. Wouldn’t call him the greatest but he’s earned his place in comedy history.
looks like the dude from Poison
Now THAT is the fucking 80′s! 3:49
Yeah, like what the hell, dude? You don’t like it? It’s called a giant blue backwards arrow in the corner. Just use it. This is the first time I’ve ever watched Kinison, and I’m kinda impressed.
There’s Eddie Izzard, Eugene Mirman, Aziz Ansari, Richard Prior, all the Monty pYTHON crew- then there’s Sam- What’s so special?
constructed critisism is obviously welcome…….but…….ones who blatently try to dissolve other peoples egos with their own ie: an all out blunt insult after a dissagreement are….cunts….bully sort of people the type i cant stand. so if you dont like sam then thats fine, just people in the “real” world aswell as the “virtual” one please dont start flexing your freedom of speech so vigorously at people it turns you into an asshole and we dont want that
