this is not the person you have asked the question to, but i am agnostic so i will respond. I am agnostic because i cannot bring my self to believe in such childish tales like heavens, hells, angles, and gods. But at the same time i recognize that humans do not know everything about the universe and ruling some kind of creator out the the question is to rash (at least for me). so no, i am not agnostic towards fairies.
@cute12but12strange : the bible never explicitly says that god hates gays, but he does say in Leviticus 20:13 that men who engage in gay sex are to be put to death. Christians say that Jesus overrode this law, but they also say that god doesn’t change, so you can see his attitude toward homosexuality. But it’s a rotten god who condemns homosexuality while endorsing slavery (including slave beating) and executing rape victims–yes, *victims*–by *torture*.

I am agnostic. And as far as I know, in the bible it tells us that God loves all his children. It’s offending when people walk out into the streets with signs that say ‘God hates fags.’ He doesn’t. Supposedly. I believe in science just because I can grasp it more, and understand it more, than I can a belief that I must wear longs skirts and my hair up every day. Or that I have to pray in a certain direction. This is great.

All it taught me is that anyone that would chose to worship a loathsome bully like god is most likely either too morally indolent to realize how reprehensible such a position is, or just too cowardly to be willing to risk their immoral soul and an eternity of torment simply to take a stand against tyranny. Why would anyone want to harm people who are already harming themselves? Sick people warrant help, not abuse.

Not at all. Just because I’ve avoided stepping in the excrement religious scum are so proud to spread over ever facet of our society isn’t much of an accomplishment. And I have already written a blog post to explain how I would deal with that trash. It’s titled “Religion could be our best invention.” I’d turn it from something filthy into something beautiful with just one small change. I treat all my neighbors with enormous respect, and go out of my way to help disadvantaged of all kinds.
