Even with the threat of the women rebelling, the politicians of the time such as John Adams and Thomas Jefferson still refused to include them in politics. Why was that?

I mean, we have the right to our own opinions and of free speech as pointed out in the Bill of Rights, but for our own sake should we really even discuss or debate it? Every time somebody starts talking politics the conversation gets pretty heated and eventually turns into a shouting match. Is this where our country is headed? Towards another secession?

Note: Don’t be rude and don’t tell me whether you like Obama or McCain because frankly, I don’t care.
