I try to ask a question about politics and all I get in the politics section is “Liberal @ss holes” and “you conspiracy theorist” and other wild slangs.

My user name is odd but it comes from the game Deus Ex.

Are people in the political section just rude trolls?
All the answers I got from the question I asked were mere rants and chats before I deleted the question.

Is the Philosophy section more objective than the politics section?

Reading through the questions and answers here; I get the impression that this section is more objective and more intelligent than the politics section.

The “questions” in the politics section are USUALLY NOT real questions and are subtle attempts to impose the asker’s view on others.

It’s really funny, but that bad part is that when you have a serious question no one takes it seriously and the people that answer answer with fallacious, invalid arguments.
I don’t think that getting in a heated argument about politics justifies the variety of logical fallacies I have encountered in the politics section.

Most of the answers I’ve seen there are personal attacks that don’t add strength or support to an argument or answer.
Personal attacks, red herrings, and straw men.

Why are people in the politics section so homophobic and religious?

It seems like even the religion and spirituality section is more liberal than the politics section, its like all the religious people migrated to the politics section,and all the liberals are in the religion and spirituality section, The politics section is dominated by religious conservatives. If you go to the religion and spirituality section you will get eaten alive by liberals, here in the politics section you get eaten alive and overwhelmed by religious conservatives.

Before the Politics section I used to hang out in the various auto sections. I am a car buff. I also was in the Health area a bit, I work in healthcare.

I browsed through some questions from a few years ago when Bush and republicans were still in power and noticed a lot more liberal attacks on conservatives, republicans, and Bush. But the recent questions in the past several months have indicated that now it’s more conservatives who are attacking liberals. So is the Politics section where the political minority comes to b*tch?

This isn’t a damn forum, it’s Yahoo ANSWERS, not Yahoo-Political-Hate-Speech. You’re supposed to pose serious questions, instead 99% of the questions and answers in this section are nothing but hateful spam, propaganda and attacks.

Whom else is sick and tired of all the BS back and forth attacking in the politics section? It’s obvious people have their minds made up and will never agree.
