Why were women excluded from politics even after the revolution?

Even with the threat of the women rebelling, the politicians of the time such as John Adams and Thomas Jefferson still refused to include them in politics. Why was that?

what is celia a slave’s story and sex politics of slavery say about antebellum women and families?

Melton McLaurin notes that the Celia’s defense, “challenged the role of white man as the protector of women within southern society…(and) challenged the concept of male honor, a crucial element of the South’s social system.” What does Celia’s story and the “sexual politics of slavery” have to say about antebellum familes and women generally?

Do Republican women do so great in politics because they are so capable and incredible in life?

I mean they are incredibloe. They work, have kids, raise a family, balance the books and much more! I don’t have a problem with them in politics as I know they are capable of doing the job. I am mainly talking about conservative women , although there are some Democrats that do pretty good also.

The role of women in politics during the Progressive Era?

Can someone give me an example where women changed politics during the Progressive Era? So far I have the 19th Amendment, 18th Amendment (alcohol prohibition), but I need one more. Does anyone have another one?

Women in power are no different from the men When it comes to holding high office and wielding power, Julia Gillard’s gender is as relevant and instructive as Barack Obama’s colour, or any leader’s religion, sexuality, age or preference in movies.
