Brother Joshua Evans is our guest on today’s show, Brother Joshua was raised by his grandparents in Greenville, South Carolina in a very strict Methodist home. In his teenage years, he became very involved in the church and was studying at a small Bible college in his hometown with the intention of eventually enrolling in Bob Jones University. He was learning to read the Bible in Hebrew and Greek and was very interested in textual criticism of the Bible. It was during these years of intense Bible study that he read the Bible cover to cover a half a dozen times. In doing so, he realized there were many inconsistencies and contradictions. He realized the Bible was not the inerrant Word of God as he had always been taught. He eventually left Christianity and searched for the truth about God elsewhere. To say this cannot happen is like saying God is unable,limited and weak.The God who created ALL we see,and gave life to humanity can do everything-but this.Can you not see what you are truly saying,when you say Jesus is not God?
Again,going into the doctrine of what Jesus meant when He calls Himself the Son of God(John 5:18),we see the picture that God became flesh and lived among us.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,and we have seen his glory,glory as of the only Son from the Father,full of grace and truth.

@MyDearFaith Yes,dear friend.There are so many signs,and examples that Jesus is God in the bible and in the world today,that it is impossible to not see it.Some people just refuse to!
So what about those miracles which happened in today’s world when people in faith prayed in Jesus’ Name? The lame walked, the blind see, the broken hearted restored, the wounded soul healed etc.. are these not enough to show that only God can do this?

We,as children of God(believers in Christ)have been born again(see John 3).We have a new life in Christ-God has given us the right to become children of God.We are His children-regardless of what race we are,what coutry we are from,how rich or how poor we are,how healthy or sick we are……when you commit your heart to Jesus and Him alone,God has now given you the right to be His child.
John 1:13 who were born,not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man,but of God.
These 4 verses tell even more about Jesus,and there is a lot in just these few verses to explain.#1-Jesus is the true light…..not anyone else.#2-He made the world(for He is God),yet the world did not know him-their eyes were blinded to the truth.#3-He came to his own-Israel,and they rejected him.#4-but to all who did believe,and receive him into their hearts,they became children of God.
John 1:9-12 The true light,which enlightens everyone,was coming into the world.He was in the world,and the world was made through him,yet the world did not know him.He came to his own,and his own people did not receive him.But to all who did receive him,who believed in his name,he gave the right to become children of God.
In these 3 verses,the bible is talking about John the Baptist who came as a witness about Jesus.Again we see Jesus referred to as the “light”…….the light shining in the darkness of this world.The bible makes sure it is clear that John was not the light-the light is Jesus!
John 1:6-8 There was a man sent from God,whose name was John.He came as a witness,to bear witness about the light,that all might believe through him.He was not the light,but came to bear witness about the light.

When it says in Jesus was life,it is not talking about physical life,but spiritual life.This life that Jesus brings,brings light into the darkness of this world.Picture a dark room-that is what this world looks like spiritually.Now picture a lamp in the middle of this room.That is what Jesus brought to this world.Life eternal and light in the darkness.
John 1:4,5 In him was life,and the life was the light of men.The light shines in the darkness,and the darkness has not overcome it.
In verse 3 we see a contiuing of the thoughts of verse 1 and 2.All things were created through Jesus.There is not ANYTHING made that was not made by Him.Jesus was not only in the beginning of all things,was with God and was God,but also took part in the creation process.
John 1:3 All things were made through him,and without him was not anything made that was made.

That is the true doctrine of the Son of God.Will you give Him a chance in your heart today?Jesus is God,and He payed the price for Your sins on a cross 2,000 years ago.You can have eternal life,by accepting Him into your heart and believing God has raised Him from the dead.He is only a prayer away!
Even though the bible clearly teaches that Jesus is the Son of God,many don’t believe it and even fewer understand it.When He is saying He is Gods only Son,He is saying that He Himself is God,part of the trinity.John 5:18 says….This was why the jews were seeking all the more to kill him…..he was even calling God his own Father,making himself equal with God.
It says in verse 2,He was with God.The Word,as it refers here is Jesus Christ.Look carefully at these 2 verses,because they tell a lot about who He really is.Jesus was in the beginning of creation,He was with God and He WAS God.He is God revealed to humanity.The first 2 verses spell it out very clearly,and yet you have many cults in the world today that deny this.One common denominator in most false religions of the world today deny the deity of Jesus Christ.
