This is a public speech in the University of Michigan – Dearborn, where the audience is made up of Muslims (Shia – Sunnah) and non-Muslims. Therefore not all believe in salawat.
my dear brother, it is up to you to figure out whats truth for you.
God says in the Holy Quran, “there is no compulsion in religion. Truth is clear from falsehood.”
May God guide the sincere seekers of truth. Amin.
furthermore, we have comprehensive sciences to help us filter the truth from falsehood.
differences of opinions are healthy and part of society.
however, where Quran is concern, there is only one source and considering the years it has survived untainted and also the sophistication of the enemies of Islam, we have to agree with what the Quran says,”Verily, We Ourselves have sent down this Exhortation, and most surely We will be its Guardian, (Al-Hijr, 15:10)
my dear brother, shias and sunnis do not share different beliefs. whoever believe otherwise is apparently misguided. we have different opinions over the same beliefs. n dats normal and healthy.
one important thing to note is that we have the same Quran unlike the split in Christianity where different bibles are used to justify each church’s stand.
the thing that is similar to the bible in the muslim world is the collection of hadiths or traditions of Rasulullah s.a.a.w
Your accusations against Christianity apply equally against Islam. Do not the Sunni and Shia hold different beliefs? Is there not continuous disputes about which of the Hadiths are correct? There is but one truth even though there are many apostates and heretics. The Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God and the Universe was created exactly as He described it in Genesis. Apocrypha means writings of dubious authenticity. God’s chosen reject the Apocrypha and all false teachings.
the contradictions in the bible are well known and there is no way out of it unless one is fanatic and does not wish to face truth and facts.
google contradictions in bible and do your own honest research if you are interested in truth.

3) it would make perfect sense for God to inspire one person to write the bible if it needed to be done. Especially someone who is known to be trustworthy and upright.
today bible scholars are telling us that the writers of the bible are unknown and there is no way to verify their identity.
to claim that the Holy spirit has guided you may be a biased claim without any evidence and that claim can be made by others from diff faiths.
Our human God-given intellect reject this argument.

1)translation and versions are two different things. Who authorised the selection and writing of the gospels?
How did you come to the conclusion that God authorise it?
2)not only the catholics but it seems that numerous apocrypha exist today and also many others in the past that have been destroyed.
And do not be too quick to say that bible have no errors or does not contradict itself.
one obvious error would be that earth is created before the sun.

3) Ultimately the Bible was written by God. God superintended the human authors of the Bible so that while using their own writing styles and personalities, they still recorded exactly what God wanted to be said. The Bible was not dictated from God, but it was perfectly guided and entirely inspired by Him. Humanly speaking, the Bible was written by approximately 40 men of diverse backgrounds over the course of 1500 years. The Bible does not contradict itself and does not contain any errors.
1) Because the Bible was written for all people, of all languages, at all times in History. Therefore it is translated into the languages commonly used by all people so that no one will be without excuse. I can send you an Arabic written Bible if you would like. But the intended meaning of all translations is the same and the Holy Spirit guides true seekers to a correct understanding.
2) The Catholics include extra material. I am not Catholic.

1)why is there only one version of Quran today while there is so many versions of bible?
2)Why is catholic bible different from protestants bible?
3)how come many christian scholars claim the authors of bible are in fact unknown?
consider the fact that the thinner bible is by many men while Quran is from one source, the messenger of God s.a.a.w.
