You pretty much can talk to a person about anything, but when it comes to religion and politics…watch out! It’s never takes long for the conversation to get heated. Seriously though, what is it about these two topics that evoke more passion and anger from people than most others?

Idk but you’re right both the world wars (the bloodiest wars in history) were a product of Religious intolerance and Political Pride. My best guess would be that people instinctively want to belong somewhere and lash out whenever they meet someone who doesn’t agree with their views or beliefs.
World peace is easily in reach, If religion is decreased. -Asher Roth-
I’m quite sure it’s because they are world changing opinions. Most people take these topics seriously. Equally, both are based in morals and beliefs. You can like or dislike a movie or certain type of music without it challenging your beliefs. You simply do not have a taste for whatever that something is. But to challenge someone’s religion or political view is to challenge their base morals. It is almost like you are challenging the person’s existence, in a way.
